Stab at Trump-abuse connection
Apologies if the title’s “loaded”, just musing while I can’t sleep Hey everyone—long time, no write. Not much reading either. Slipped into tv/movies in free time and back to cube monkey grind to pay da bills...so it goes Anyways—I was meditating. Then I fell asleep, as I often do after good meditati...

Re: Shadow of the Shaman
I wish I could describe the ceremony, the effect of the medicine, the places Grandmother took me and the lessons she showed me. But like I described early, there was very little of it I could hang on to, be completely present. It was intense. It was work. I got ideas about how to connect and communi...

Re: Shadow of the Shaman
Friday morning is a time to sneak a little Ory-gun life in, especially w/Bill's amazing little girls, how they've grown in the year and three months since I've seen them. The anticipation of being out in B's space is getting stronger by the hour, I'm all smiles on the short drive out to the land. B ...

Re: Shadow of the Shaman
The dieta started the next night. The food part was no problem. I had learned how grounding and protecting salt is, and had no problem cutting that out, as well as the other forbidden items...except for one. The no sexual contact thing (even masturbation), apparently something about the chi (I would...

Re: Shadow of the Shaman
So I was cutting the grass last week, torturing plants to please my neighbors. Not having seen my oldest in 2 weeks, he's truly gone off the deep end of teen angst thinking he's the cool guy swinging drugs...16 going on...whatever, he'll be lucky to get out of the teens out of the clink on the path ...

Re: My Thoughts on the Origin of Evil
I don't think it's gobbledygook, I like it.
I always thought it was one bad idea. A thought, one decision...from a creative, free-will having being, that sort of took on a life of its own.
I don't think our stories are necessarily mutually exclusive, either.

Re: Prayers for Blue
Thanks for all the love. As I replayed the visit with him Friday night as I left Work Saturday afternoon to get outside to the park to enjoy the nice day, I realized how terrible and selfish I was. I beat myself up for the next hours for being manipulated by emotions, blonded to the simple fact that...

Prayers for Blue
My little cat got hit by car Thursday. Weirdest thing...he always likes to come around for walks with me and his dog-sister Kalia, and it always gave me a heart attack, I knew the day would come. What made it so weird was how I felt it happening before it happened. Before he left sidewalk I felt lik...

Re: Beware: The Praying Mantis Wants Your Brain
The thing that I took away from the whole experience, was when at least one (and I think more than one) insisted "Simon cannot lie". Not only did it go mostly unchallenged, it bugged the shit out of me that anyone can/would believe that. Not that I don't think there's people that out there...

Re: Beware: The Praying Mantis Wants Your Brain
When I was real young (the eighties), I was taught (not sure who, I think my parents) to fear killing them...was told they were on endangered (maybe it was “protected”??) list, with a huge fine for killing one. I remember being scared of being blamed when I found a dead one. I lived in the states: D...
