Emergence - quite simply - is the continual development of a thing; not simply growth mind you but with increasing scope, magnitude, and form.

Sovereignty on the other hand, is all about boundaries. There are those 'things' that are acceptable and permissible, and those things which are not. Finding something to be permissible does NOT necessarily mean that the individual has the means to mediate the 'something', however a sovereign mindset suggests that the proper course of action (exceptions allowed) would be to confront and oppose regardless. Its not about morality of whatever variety (good, right, proper, vs. bad, wrong, improper,... NONE of those), it is about the personal choice. A pseudo-morality then, where the morality is subjective.

To more directly answer the questions (I wasn't trying to drive you off Norm!) I will GLADLY assist humanity in the healing of whatever, WHEN humanity takes ME by the hand and starts pulling its self up.

If you'll permit a bit of personal bias, I have a hard enough time getting my 'peers' (in age only) to recognize that they shouldn't wantonly procreate when both parties (him and her) are thoroughly engaged in government assistance and largesse (food stamps, welfare, etc.). I haven't the time for people who are want to slack off and pass the buck to others. If I see a person struggling (literally or figuratively) but sincerely trying to PICK THEMSELVES UP, then I will GLADLY lend a hand.

On the other hand, I am not ABOUT to waste my time and energy enabling ANYONE.

This is the crux isn't it.
People slacking off. Who decides that. As an outsider in my experience we will never have the total overview of why someone appears to be slacking.
We usually do not see what someone had already done to turn the tide so to speak.

As you know i tend to think I am the biggest loser as well as the greatest hero on this planet. It all comes down to the point of view the observer is taking.
For me its all in the human experience and I will try to help if possible.

So instead of just suggesting to build the stairs in the walls of the hole. I'll try and find a tool so we can dig together.

I've honestly got only the very slightest idea what it means when terms such as Ninja and Zombie are used in an otherwise, supposedly, serious conversation.

I suppose I'm saying I'm setting off on the back foot with my bullshit guard up, just attempting to engage in such a conversation.

Pardon my iteration of the story, the implication was that the kid DID dig the hole. The idea is that one achieves knowledge/authority by pulling themselves out of whatever hole they dug OR even find themselves in, and that one who has knowledge does the other a disservice by assisting them. Life is FULL of holes, and the sooner one achieves self-reliance and responsibility, they'll pull themselves up without any dependence.

As for psychics, and at least one is.

As far as the seriousness or lack inherent to the Zonbi Ninshu, that is deliberate.

It is both (and) a ridiculous exercise in fantasy, and an entirely serious method and process, depending on which side of the brain analyzes it, or what disposition the individual approaches it from; neither are 'correct' or 'incorrect'.

Now, the terminology is also deliberate (VERY little if any, is arbitrary). For one it refers to the 'zombie-readiness' of the ninja. Additionally, there are elements that must be puzzled out as one emerges along the guidelines (note, I did NOT say WITHIN) of the Ninshudo (note, I die NOT say NINDO). However, another element I can relate is that the 'Zombie' also refers to both the impermanence of the body as well as the continual state of decay the body experiences, even when the cells are in a state of continual renewal (i.e. the individual is alive).

In recognizing an individual as 'living', one should also recognize that the individual is equally dying. Hence, they are technically between life and death, or a state of undeath. The ninja - and everyone else - are zombies in their own right. This takes on new meaning when one analyzes the properties of a zombie, but that's for another day.

Ok I don't know the whole story an should keep my fingers off the touch screen.
That said. Who here hasn't in their life dugg a hole so deep they needed help getting out.

I'd even go as far as to say they didn't even see the first few helping hands that were offered.

Isn't that exactrly the place where most magic happens in this life? Deep down in your own hole! needing ro give up the strife and pride to accept help an find new pastures?

MAKE NO MISTAKE! The Zonbi Ninshudo/Nindo WILL be observed to contradict its self at times! I fully promote this fact! Having said, I point out that its contradictions are by ratio a depiction of the manner in which LIFE contradicts its self.

In so saying, its 'flaws/errors' are reflections (in scale) of the 'flaws/errors' of life, should one be inclined to see them that way. Me, I can see it both ways,... and then some. Xp

Thanks for the interview, Shezbeth and Christine! ^_^ I'm surprised I actually enjoyed most of it (not so keen on the use of the word 'zombie' and some of the ninja stuff as you already know, Shezbeth. But, when you call yourself and everyone else a zombie, that made it better. ).

I made a few notes (this is above and beyond normal effort for me but decided it was worth the time).


The child in the hole analogy... I get that. If the child dug the hole (or someone else dug the hole, no difference) and is aware of the hole and wants help to get out, I agree that telling him to build a ladder for himself is correct. He needs to pull himself out of the hole and stand in his own empowerment to claim/keep his sovereignty. If the child dug the hole (or someone else dug the hole, no difference) but isn't aware he is in a hole, I would look down and ask the child, 'Are you aware you are in a hole?' If he is not aware, I'll give him some clues. Then, if the child wants help to get out, I'll tell him to build a ladder and pull himself out, same as before. If I lend a hand and pull the child out, he won't have learned anything and will likely fall into another hole.

If it was a real hole with a real child in it, of course I would lend a hand and pull him out.

I agree. I'm not for opposites at all -- like 'good vs bad'. It does depend on the situation. A 'solution' may require a mix of both so, technically, there is no real delineation. I don't like the idea of 'picking a side'. You are not sovereign when you 'choose' a side. This is about thinking on your feet and doing what's best for you.
