Wow, a bit of a shock --- I was just listening to his last album Black Star --- Beautiful profound soul.

I hadn't seen or heard this until now. Here's my take without any 'outside' influence.

Are you blind? Do you wish to remain blind?
Do you buy the lies, the religious dogma?
Be brave, stand in your sovereignty.
You are a singularity.
You are a blackstar.
You are eternal.
Wake up!

To help illustrate the idea of a spiritual 'awakening', I'm sharing this song from Peter Gabriel.

Some of the lyrics:

I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination

My friends would think I was a nut
Turning water into wine
Open doors would soon be shut

I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery

I will show another me
Today I don't need a replacement
I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" I said "You can keep my things,
they've come to take me home."

Watch Bowie perfectly predict the internet's impact on music and society 15 years ago.
I hadn't seen this before. It's a fantastic interview -- David Bowie at his finest -- eloquent and to the point. The interviewer is so deep 'in the box', he can't comprehend most of what David is saying. David is so 'awake', he's like sunlight in the room. He is not perturbed by the interviewer because he knows the interview will be seen by those with 'eyes to see'.
