The Facets of Eternity

Better writers have compared those things in the Universe that we perceive as Endless, to facets of a gem catching the light at different times.

In some manner, at least in terms of the cosmic blueprint, it can be argued that People are eternal, endless. Not Individuals necessarily, although that's an open possibility, but the fact our Universe is either designed or by chance is equipped with the ingredients required in order to raise up species of intelligence may bring us pause.

Somewhere in the Universe, God willing, there will always be innocence, there will always be a fresh pair of eyes to encounter all of this timeless, ageless wonder.

That said, let's switch back to our terrestrial channel for a moment, to talk about racism.

CNN has a piece right now, "The day I realized I was Black/White". Very intelligent tactic, because the article elicits pity, emotion, empathy for both sides.

Why might that be? Because in spite of the lies, we are aware as humans that we face a similar intelligence, not a huge difference, no more so than two facets on the same diamond.

Not all facets reflect the light identically. Some glint and gleam aggressively, to distract from the shallowness beneath, to distract from the apparent Heart of the Killer that Carl Jung beheld in his studies of the white race and its interactions with others, perhaps. A beautiful face often hides nature's deadliest beings.

Whereas in the ancient, tribal, shamanic Aboriginal traditions, why, one's face is almost as irrelevant as the surface of a swimming pool: the good stuff is always locked away inside, yet who is better at seeing into the darkness of the heart and soul and mind than the shaman?

We are all equally expressive, across the races, but we don't all have the ability to listen deeply.

We can stay on the surface of the diamond and be limited by the physical boundaries thereof, or we can shatter the barriers and disappear into its depths, where some of the light is undistracted and fresh, not reflecting but Journeying.
