What do you think about personality test apps? I bought Freudian test on App Store, it seems legit. I believe it was worth the money. Is there anyone who could give me their professional opinion?

Unfortunately without purchasing the app I can't open the test.
I actually have a rather steady dislike for personality tests as the moment we categorize ourselves we will find a whole set of limits come along with it. That said they can be used as tools to discover aspects of the real you, that which the personality is only the cover.

I could test all my tools, profile my shovel and benchmark my screwdriver, have high hopes for my plummet and even treat my nails ok, but none of that narcissistic self focus ever helped anyone build a house.
Personality tests are like video games: addictive, engineered to entertain, and meaningless outside of the context of the gameworld.
We can spend our time worrying about compliance or spend it reaching for something real. Personality is really only a measure of the dumb luck we encounter when aspects of ourselves are pleased or displeased by what they sense at the time.
It is very difficult to judge an eternal being by a series of "tests" that do nothing but criticize past performances. Such tests can't tell you what is in your future. Only you can do that.

I think that these tests focus on some aspects of your personality. And everybody should keep that in mind. I find them helpful. Not for diagnosing but maybe for some insights... or something to think about. Everyone who works on him/herself can be the judge of the test results. I agree, they do not determine the future, but they might show you your past and current state.

They can be entertaining and even somewhat informative. I am a little worried with the recent trend for employers to apply some kind of test of this sort to screen potential employees. On the one hand, it makes sense, but then it can also be a tool for discrimination. If you are looking to understand yourself better I would guess if you took the information and reflected on it in an honest way it could be no doubt insightful. Personally I used the system of astrology for that purpose many years ago. Plus I realized that my personality is somewhat like the clothes I wear. Underneath it all, it isn't even the real me. But it sure can bite you in the butt at times. I have always found it kind of irritating when people use their personality as an excuse for the way they are though. I know for a fact personality traits can be changed if you discover some of them just aren't working for you. My two cents worth anyway.
