The Psychic Conundrum of Awareness and Denial

Dear ones,

Some of you are aware of the work and biography of Temple Grandin, a woman who has severe autism but manages to advocate for those less fortunate than herself -- those without a voice.

One of the details that draws me back to her story over and over is the 'humane corral' Temple invented to calm cattle en route to the slaughter yard.

Traditionally such a cattle run was built in a straight line, where the killing occurred in full viewing the waiting animals. The more cattle, the longer the wait, and Temple empathized with these highly emotional creatures when she saw how panicked they became about the inevitable death.

She created a gently looping cattle run that provided a visual 'escape' for the suffering animals as they awaited slaughter.

Temple Grandin was able to See that knowing is not the same as accepting. Thrusting the ability to Know upon a creature or individual who has not been trained to deal with fear is one of the cruelest acts in creation. Letting someone know that there is no hope, no way out, no escape, no chance of winning.

Damn phone lol.

OK part two I guess can be where we may discuss how psychic awareness, ie third eye sight, affects the psyche. Contrary to what many popularly believe about the sorcerer and seer, it seems to me that a great majority of sensitives have learned how to dismiss the inner sight and ignore its wisdom completely, at best fearing it or dramaticizing it rather than accepting that it is a gift of evolution not an accident.

Personally, I have certain experiences under stress that result in occasional verbal predictions, but more often than not, the knowledge arrives in the form of a picture -- similar to automatic writing, the artist's rendering of a concept may be absolutely frightening in the context of a future event.

Yet we sensitives insist on being surprised, and like manic depressives, caught in the cycle of extreme awareness followed by absolute horror and shock, and often a sense of loneliness, beibg lost, and a purposeless thing.

It is ironic that we tend to manifest our gifts underduress and this does nothing to calm the mind -- it sets our rational self at odds with the ego.

Oops, the thing logged me out, haha.

But the Iron Maiden song "The Clairvoyant" is particularly good.
If you are able to YouTube the lyrics version.
The author talks about being afraid of his power and afraid of death,
but he clings to the idea of being reborn as a source of hope and inspiration.

The Celts believed very strongly in the concept of reincarnation on a certain level.

Temple Grandin's website regarding her products is pretty darn interesting.

"Humane Livestock Handling
Explains Animal Behavior principles to reduce stress. Contains layouts of corrals for ranches, feedlots, and meat plants."

"To reduce stress"

:(

The Godsmack song Moon Baby is pretty interesting too, come to think of it.
"Why do I feel the pain every day?"

I hope the link works.

Outstanding thread Naga. Thank you very much!

BTW, the first link worked fine for me, but the second one said the page could not be found, for some reason.
