Time For the 'A' Game

Post by Shezbeth »

I've been in and out of the alternative community since 2008; clearly not the most experienced, but neither lacking in my own experience of.

In that perusal/pursuit, I have observed something that doesn't get much attention, so for poops and giggles (are swear words allowed here?) I'm gonna crack the box on it.

PPL in the Alt. Community need to get their poo together and start producing 'quality' videos IMO.

Oh sure, the content is well enough, but the presentations are drone-fests (and I don't mean Predator). The videos are lackluster, the editing is acceptable-ish, and the music/sounds - when they are even present - are amateurish.

I am not belittling any individuals, but I have noticed some who's pronunciation could stand a bit of practice and precision, and Youtube is rife with voice-training drills.

Please recognize, I iterate so because I SEE the potential and not (just) because I'm something of a perfectionist,....

... and if you think you have it bad, you should see me at work!

To this end, I would venture to guess that there are probably some pretty skilled video editors who might be incentivized to participate. I KNOW there's a poo-ton of musicians and vocalists,... maybe a little networking is in order?

Would someone go fetch DaMar ... my one sadness of the recent poo-porseful drama is that it took on the tone of "Battle of the Roses" leaving some sensitive friends seeking refuge from the tangled thorns.

Using this board to state once again; it was about trials behind closed doors and the use of intent to harm. We, fortunate or unfortunate, however your subjectively see us, are but to Our Own Selves True. We exhort all follow this axiom. ;)

Shezbeth, you play fair with love. Certainly at this point we can take a little poo.

I'm well up for putting some magic sparkle dust into the audio side of worthwhile presentations. Video is something I have almost zero experience with.

The most common problem that makes some truther videos hard work to listen to is the huge differences of sound levels from one skype contributer to another. I often find myself ripping the audio out of youtube videos and spending a lot more time than I should tweaking the levels before saving it as an mp3 file.

Any video presenter who has the ability to take the audio out, and return it again, in sync, can send me audio to work on to get it as sweet to listen to as possible.

It's also the nature of the content. It's definitely good to hear from people (skype discussions, chats etc.) but the subject focused content is pretty thin on the ground. It's almost like we need a guide book of videos:

1/ Basics of meditation
2/ Regressing through past lives
3/ Recognising external forces
4/ Communicating with the heart
5/ Re-programming the sub conscious
6/ Recognisng and dealing with personal issues
7/ Dealing with interpersonal energy

I dunno, that sort of thing. Sort of orgnised like a boot camp of topics for people to kick start learning.

Kindly.

I am in concurrence. By way of videos/discussions, we can literally show one another how to do these things, and/or collaborate WRT our particular talents and skillsets, and that's a suitable list to start with.

Just sayin'

In this new software world, showing people how to do what you do is really only possible, at a deep and meaningful level, if they can use exactly the same software as you. The main reason so many people are pretty 'useless' at getting technical stuff right, is because the software domain is ruled by a tide of constant updating. People are never given the chance to dig deep into how it all really works and become like master craftspeople with their tools.

Most self broadcasters I listen to on the internet are really struggling with sound quality, for example. It's not just that they are not audio engineers, it's that the software they are using is semi nobbled ( deliberately ) and also that they are still struggling with finding their way around it, never mind mastering it. Look at Kerry Cassidy, for example. A lot of her interviews are ruined to the point of being unbearable to listen to because she's so clueless about what she's doing at a technical level ( and always blaming it on NSA type interference, which is ridiculous, really ). Sure, they probably DO interfere from time to time, but when I'm listening to obvious technical chaos symptoms and she blames them, I cringe for her.

Actually, there is LOT of technical ignorance of all sorts in the 'alternative community'. Another very frustrating area for me is to do with camera lenses and how they behave when pointed at very bright light sources like the sun. Such a lot of people point their cameras at the sun or in a direction that includes the sun, and get very excited about the artifacts that produces as if they have seen something anomalous in the sky. They haven't, they've seen something anomalous in the result of pointing a camera at a bright light source.

I used to spend a lot of time replying to over excited posts by people who'd post "look what I've just videod or photographed" posts, trying to explain to them that's it's just a camera artifact. Eventually, I gave up, there are far more technical idiots than my nerves could withstand.

My focus has been so caught up lately in how many of our alt media peeps have flipped...look for yourselves, quite interesting. Shilly weather indeed.
With all due respect, I appreciate anyone who is willing to pick up a mic and make an effort and put themselves out there with whatever truth they perceive. I have the option to pick and choose any media and presenters, there are billions of us (not sure of actual organic humans) none the less, the info is staggering. It's the looking through the needles eye thing. Can I wade through this ones rhetoric for the nugget, can I wade through that one's poor quality, can I wade through yet another shill. It goes on and who cares. Take what you like, skip watch, listen and move on. How many vids have we started and left or skipped through. The info is vital now. If anything maybe collect good ones too!

I loved media and music, I wanted it different before I even knew how much of a sham it all is. I had worked long on putting together a "new media" based business and watched it crumble now taking ALL that is going on in us and around us at this juncture into serious consideration.
I too, miss the pass time of a good movie or doc.. For now, that time has past, (I will neither subject my brain nor very soul to a steady stream of parasitic influence for shits and grins ever again!) it is neither important nor a luxury needed to learn what we need to know. I look at lots of vids and docs that explain and discuss movies and media finding the half truths- without doubt! This realm is off the friggin hook right now..hell I will climb on the roof and hold the rabbit ears and twist the antenna if that's what it takes to tune in....um, just saying, with much love.
