Oh look! Its Fred.

Post by Fredkc »

Whoever buzzed me in, thanks.

I'm Fredkc at nearly every forum I've joined. Ask around, someone will know me. Corresponded with Observer, over the last cpl days, and he's known of me for a few years.

Anyway, after some reading, of late, I was moved to send you an email. While waiting for the right combination of brevity and wit, I thought I would wander by here for a look. Will do more of that later this evening.

"May you live in interesting times" ... eh?

Be well,
Fred

Oh look! Fred reads minds.

I was waiting for someone to clue me into who Fredkc was so I could give him a proper welcome and he announces himself, gotta love that.

Brevity and wit like that too, welcome to Earth Empaths! To our mutual pleasure we are sure.

eh, what? Say what again?

Purrfectly well here, thank you ~ Christine

Where have I seen that quote before?

That quote:
"Evil can't be killed, only redeemed."

I was listening to the radio one night. The guy was interviewing a soldier who had 1st asked to be re-assigned, and then left the army when his tour was up. His real name was never mentioned, and only identified himself as Joshua. They'd evidently spent a bundle training him, too.

What led up to it.
He worked in Intelligence (Ha!) as an interrogator, and was stationed in Iraq. The work was backing up on him, and it had caused him to fall back on his religion more, and more.

They continued to interrogate (and sometimes torture) prisoners, rather than release them, even when they already knew the person was not a terrorist. They were doing it because it helped to intimidate the other prisoners, for when it was their turn.

So one day, he's sitting in interrogation, with a prisoner - he knows the guy is innocent! - the prisoner knows he knows he's innocent! - And still they're sitting there going through this horrible farce! His prisoner is talking to him, and he described it like some "Zen/Christian sermon" about forgiveness, and love. And he knew.

We weren't keeping anyone safe. We weren't building anything there. We were doing nothing but harm, to the country, the people, ourselves. It's all completely wrong. And his prisoner said to him:
"Evil can't be killed, only redeemed."

Funny ol' world, isn't it? They outa sell tickets. I'd buy one. ;)

Hi Fred,

Good to see you here.

Your metaphor hints (to me) of another intelligence operation which I speculated to you in recent times. Of course that's all just conjecture, but if true, that operation isn't building anything either.... just simply doing nothing but harm.

Trying my best not to be judgmental or drawing any lines in the sand, simply looking for the truth - just my humble opinion....

Hey Shane. LTNS. Just started in on your BlogSpot site a few days ago - interrupted by the usual... life in general, and in particular. + other stuff.

Besides, its Christmas Eve, and I have to go bring in about 2 days of wood, and sanitize the den.

Have a good'n

Hi Fred, do you remember me asking you if you thought the threat to the human race ( right now ) was comparable to the threat to the 'Indian' nations when the Euopeans turned up?

I'm still more than half convinced that is the case.
