Transient, intangible, and yet eternal
Diaphanous dogma on wheeling wings
Taking our Self off the shelf to go
Are we listening to ourselves?
Revolving doors of carpetbags
Dancing dolls and critical hags
Praises we sing, hear them ring
Intellect down for the emotional count
Do I believe? I believe i need some air.
I'd walk across water for some peace.
Am I the devil in disguise?
Pegged by the preacher's smiling eyes?
So many others are here for the BBQ
My inner Jezebel giggles at the sight
Barely contained appetite and passion
Ensconced by so many crisp white lawn chairs
The spirit who walked Galilee's shores points out
If it wasnt for material there would be nothing spiritual here...
It is a shame to live in such twisted modern times
That even a devil feels crowded in Corporate worship
What is Real? When you are feeling the Matrix in church, what can you do except walk away?
Or should I eat the steak that my senses mistakenly tell me is succulent, tender, and juicy?
Frying pan meet fire,
Join me for a brotherly bowl in the grass

Buildings without Hands
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.
~William Cowper
