What are we trying to prove by all this violence?

Yet so many young men think they have the right to play God with other peoples lives.
How did we come so far from self defense, civil rights, and freedom, to where there is open war in our own streets?
Do we love violence more than we love God?
Rome would exist today if they had only learned to strike a balance between the enjoyment of creation and the enjoyment of death.
Fellow Americans and friends, please reconsider the awful path we have taken thru the valley of the shadow of death.
We were supposed to be the city on the hill. Just like the preacher said last Sunday. We are supposed to set an example.
If we cannot value human life on foreign shores, however, we cannot receive joy or value our own lives.
