This policeman in Michigan, on top of being the handler of an adorable k9, was a positive influence on his community.
I was sad to see just now on CNN that he has passed away after being on life support. It wasn't apparent in the earlier articles how badly he was hurt.
In light of a few thoughtless things I've said about some of the police, it wouldbe appropriate to remember the ones who tried so hard to overcome stereotypes and serve their communities like Officer Rose.
