Everyone knows that building a wall is too rude and too expensive. I waited so long to share this "conspiracy theory" that it got stale, I may not be the first sharer...
Ok so CNN has a story I clicked but have not yet read. It says Trump wants a wall, Mexico (?) wants a fence. Or something similar.
So if you, readers, were government officials charged with solving the "problem" of an open border, and a technology company approached you with a novel and amazingly cheap and effective surveillance technique sure to change the world, yet infringes totally on privacy and constitutional rights, what would you say if given this choice between two evils?
Personally I'm guessing that many of the controversial technologies tested in Seattle Washington will be piloted on this border with Mexico.
Tech like,
Intellistreets smartlight fixtures.
Persistent drones with live camera feed.
Wifi powered interferometric pole pairs.
Cameras on poles.
Boundaries equipped with sensors.
RFID tagging.
You see where I'm headed with this? They gonna turn this border shit into Fahrenheit 451. Just watch. It may have nothing to do with Trump and he fails to see what a grave issue it is becoming.
Or am I just a Luddite stuck in the glory days of USA? Does the Constitution still apply? Do immigrants and illegals deserve right to privacy and immunity to search and seizure?
Whatever happens, I've heard already that drones are becoming the backbone of the drug smuggling trade, and walls don't stop things that can perform vertical takeoff.

Mexico Wall Controversy: Paving Way for Big Brother?
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.
~William Cowper
