Moving away from transhumanism into a spiritual evolution should be done as smoothly as possible. If the future brings too much transhumanism we risk getting stuck on that road. On the other hand if the technological progress slows down too much then there is a risk of global depression before we have evolved enough spiritually.
So, what will happen is that we will have some progress in transhumanism. And even a lot of progress in energy technologies and other things will be useful.
Here is a recent use of artificial Intelligence (AI):
"Extended Lifespan for All
Insilico Medicine develops the advanced AI algorithms to study the aging processes and discover new interventions in aging. ... "I hope that together we will be able to find new molecules to extend healthy longevity and make humans more resistant to the various stress factors", said Alex Zhavoronkov, PhD, founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine, Inc." --

How can we mix both technological progress AND spiritual development? The answer is that both will happen in parallell. Some people will focus on a material path while other people will focus on a spiritual path, and after a while both paths will start to merge and become one unified path. And the breakaway civilization can speed up that progress by leaking advanced technology knowledge, not to cause transhumanism but to speed up our technological development in key areas as much as possible.
